About the dpa
The Dudley Pond Association is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization in Wayland. Founded in 1968, the DPA consists of an active group of neighbors and friends interested in protecting the watershed and keeping the pond a clean, healthy resource to be proud of.
Dudley Pond is a Massachusetts Great Pond. These water bodies of at least 10 acres are
held in trust by the Commonwealth for public use and enjoyment.
DPA goals include:
*Weed and Litter Control
*Monitoring and Improvement of Water Quality
*Community Building Events
The DPA has monthly meetings which are normally held on the first Monday of the month. These meetings are open to everyone, member and non-member alike. To add any issues you wish to discuss to the agenda, please contact: [email protected].
Besides our monthly meetings, membership meetings are held each spring and fall. These meetings are normally held on Sunday afternoons in late April and late October and include a dinner. In addition to reviewing the past six months, these meetings include the election of new board members (spring meeting) and adoption of the next year's budget (fall meeting). Votes may be taken on other issues as required by our bylaws.
Your dues are used by the association to fund ongoing operations of the organization, such as the semi-annual meetings, general pond cleanup, and educational materials. The association is grateful for any additional contributions. Contributions are tax-deductible.
