The pond is a place for passive and quiet recreation.  The modest area of the pond and the relatively dense residential area which surrounds it encourages recreational users to be sensitive to the community and environment.

Rumor has it that the fishing and ice fishing on the pond are excellent.  Canoeing and kayaking are popular activities (outboard motors are limited to 10 horsepower or less).   Due to minimal supervision and facilities, public swimming from Town property is not permitted.
